Aspire Higher

Michael Coutts

Born into the gangsta streets of La Perouse, Michael found it difficult to find Bra Boys interested in debating, maths, and other wholesome Sydney Boys High activities.

Once at High, Michael flourished amongst his nerdy brethren, forming the brown segment of the 2007 SHS First Grade side, otherwise known as Team Multicultural. With them, Michael was runner up in both the GPS Premiership and Hume Barbour debating competitions. Without them, Michael represented the CHS 2nd Grade side for 2 years, as well making the NSW All-Schools Squad of 12 in those years.

At university, Michael has represented the University of Sydney at state and national level, and in his free time he enjoys annoying the other debating coaches and pretending to read The Economist.
