William Clegg is currently a student at the University of Sydney, studying a Bachelor of International Studies, focussing on political economy, government and history. He attended Sydney High between 2000 and 2005 and sits on the Sydney High School Development Committee.
As a school boy debater he progressed from the 14C to First Grade teams. He debated in the Year 10 Commonwealth Bank State Final, the Year 11 Karl Kramp State Final (Winning Team), the Regional Final of the Hume Barbour Debating Competition and the Final of the Athletic Association of Great Public Schools Final, losing narrowly to an Iggies team with his team-mates Tom Kaldor and Gabriel McManus. Will debated in the AAGPS Seconds team which defeated both the CHS and CAS Seconds teams.
This year, Will has been involved in the Debates Committee at Sydney University. Will experienced serious separation anxiety in the months following his graduation from High. His treatment is progressing well, although his desire to clean up the Teachers' Common Room still proves to defy all rationale.
