Dana is a qualified teacher who is passionate about students developing their confidence, social awareness and critical thinking skills through debating, public speaking and teamwork..
Dana realised regional success in High School Debating and Plain English Speaking Awards during her years at Lismore High School on the North Coast (quite some time ago now, if memory stays true...). She completed her Bachelor of Laws and Political Science with the Australian National University in Canberra in 2003. Throughout her university life she was active within the ANU Debating Society winning the internal competition in 1999 and contesting various finals in both Hume Barbour and British Parliamentary styles. She represented ANU at Intervarsity level including Easters, Australs and Worlds with a highlight being selected as an adjudicator for the Grand Finals of the Australasian Tournament in Singapore in 2001.
Personally, she has two kittens and an almost encyclopedic knowledge of The Simpsons. Dana completed her Masters of Teaching in 2008 and looks forward to combining her teaching expertise, debating passion and fondness for victory in 2009!
