Over the years, the SRC has done much work to help enhance our school as well as voice the student's opinions. However, the council has become increasingly concerned with the number of SRC members who are 'slacking off' with their duties, as well as not attending the weekly meetings. Therefore, the SRC council has unanimously voted to change the number of members elected into the SRC council, as of 2012.
The new system will have:
| GRADE |
NO. OF MEMBERS |
| 7 |
6 (one from each house) |
| 8 |
4 (across all houses) |
| 9 |
4 (across all houses) |
| 10 |
4 (across all houses) |
| 11 |
6 (across all houses- this number includes the president and the secretary)
|
| 12 |
4 (across all houses) |
This reduced number of representatives will ensure that each member 'pulls his own weight' amongst the SRC committees and projects. If a member is elected and is then seen as unsuitable to the standards required to be an SRC member (i.e not attending meetings, SRC functions, etc), then he may be stripped of his role in the council, and the person with the next highest number of votes will take his place. |

The SRC has rallied hard over the past few months to fix the ventilation in the school gymnasium (i.e. rooms 902, 903). I'm sure you will all be pleased to know that the ventilation system is working perfectly fine, and the change rooms are smelling great!
