Kings 241 (F.Morshedi 2-27) vs High 0-7
High bowled well again having lost the toss. Being down to ten men for the second week in a row put a strain on the field and King’s got off to a great start. We continued to drop catches and make simple errors in the field allowing their batsmen to make big scores. However we improved later on and managed to bowl King’s out with 17 overs to spare. Although the total could be smaller, we did well to keep it to a manageable total

St Josephs 167 (E.Hall 3/31, R.Hossain 1/21) DEF High 130 (L.Saunders 42, V.Rajaan 25)
After losing the toss, High bowled first, and were unable to find consistency – bowling too many loose deliveries early on. The free flow of runs continued throughout the Joeys innings, attributable to a lack of players. In reply High got off to a slow but solid start, and although they batted well; were unable to reach the opposition’s total. Special mention must go to Louis and Vyaas who guided the chase.

Newington 207 (F.Aysub 3/31, S.Afsar 2/37) DEF High 84 (F.Aysub 19, E.Hall 14)
High lost the toss and bowled with some mixed results. Some power hitting and some poor deliveries summed up High’s effort; and resulted in a colossal total of 207 by Newington. This wasn’t helped by the fact that we lost both openers early. However, some calm, albeit slow, batting from Vyaas and Faysal added respectability to High’s total. This side has the potential to dominate the competition this year, and only needs to show more application in matches to reflect such talent.
